Every single dish we had was impeccable! Zero notes for anything. Certainly the best deviled eggs I’ve had. Usually I feel a bit guilty about ordering such an easy to make at home dish, but theirs was outstanding. Plus, the pickled cucumber and onions they offer with the dish (as well as others) are out of this world. The chicken wings are killer! The white sauce is so perfect. And for such a small wing, they feel quite meaty. Salad was a very refreshing dish in the very dry heat. The dish was balanced so well. Meatballs hit a home run with their zatar and fresh tomato sauce. And the crab roll, phenomenal — buttery, crispy, soft. Truly a perfect combo with the added acidity of lemon. Plus, the paired fries were fried to perfection.
Farm-to-table freshness, and the food's amazing! Killer salads, awesome pickles, the house smoked meats are great. That beef? Just like I eaten in Spain! Different beef flavors than most American cow. The desserts and atmosphere are fantastic.
Came here to celebrate a b-day and it did not disappoint. The ambience is spectacular. Service in general was superb. Food was super good. Grids, M&C and ribs were delicious and would highly recommend. They brought us an ice cream to celebrate the b-day person. Was super generous and appreciated. The cocktails could be a bit better. It seems bartenders are cutting corners and that is reflected in the poor quality of the cocktails. Saw how they prepared an old fashioned and was not proper which resulted in a mediocre cocktails. Other than that, the rest of the experience was above expectations and therefore the 5 stars reviews.
They were able to accommodate 6 of us on short notice for dinner. The property is lovely, with redwoods, fruit trees, a garden, and more. We would love to come back and try the wine tasting and pizza during the day.
Came in for lunch. Wow! So wonderful, this is my new favorite restaurant in the Napa area. Our waiter was Alex, one of the nicest and helpful waiters I have come across in a long time. The atmosphere and menu were perfect for use. The grilled artichokes were perfectly seasoned and cooked. The beets were a perfect complement with the artichokes which brought out the natural sweetness of the beets. The crab roll had the right amount of sauce and seasoning. The artichokes also brought out the sweetness from the salad. The roll for the crab was a big hit. We’re a bit older and like to share (we don’t eat as much as we did before). They had no problem with our sharing everything. I will definitely add this restaurant to my Napa visit list, when I’m in the area.
Nice outdoor patio seating also has live music, gas heaters, and a row of bushes forming a living wall. The SOLE white fish was delicate and served stacked on top of pureed carrots and wilted Swiss Chard. It also came with yellow fingerling potatoes. Micro greens were the finishing touch. I also had a side order of cheddar biscuits. The leftovers were good for breakfast! My friend had the salad with sliced apples, chili pepitos , chicken & a green goddess dressing (buttermilk). I would return here.
Our lunch here was EXCELLENT! Molly did an outstanding job explaining all the specials, as well as other items on the menu to us in such a way we felt like we definitely needed to order them to try for ourselves. We started with a special veggie appetizer of that day, their grilled squash which was “cured” prior to grilling. I don’t like squash at all, but I really liked this! Next up was fried chicken which came with an outstanding cole slaw! The fried chicken was tender, though not the best we’ve had (that would be Ad Hoc’s fried chicken), it was pretty good. Their pulled pork sandwich was incredible and the potato salad that came with it was outstanding! Save room for dessert... they have a nice list of some great options! The day we visited it was beautiful and the weather was mild right when they opened, which was when we arrived, so we sat in their garden. Such a beautiful area with sculpted apple trees creating a natural border. We’ll definitely return on our next trip out here, but next time we’ll come for dinner, as I’m sure that’s even more amazing than lunch.
We really liked Farmstead on a trip in June. We had a special appetizer - the grilled squash. For someone who doesn’t like squash at all, it was the best vegetable dish I’ve had in a long time. Then we had the salad with chicken, and the sole, for entrees. Quality was high, and quantity was higher. These are real meals in a valley filled with tiny bites. Dessert was the chocolate cream pie, and it did not disappoint. The vibe was unique: understated western/cowboy mixed with Napa sophistication. The prices indicate a fancier restaurant, but feel free to come casual.
